We help people, teams and organizations revitalize. We believe that each of us is capable of much more than he or she realizes. If we were aware of our real strength, working together in organizations would be much more effective, successful and enjoyable. Our passion to make people aware of this and to teach them to work together based on balance, strength and connection, with each other, in teams and in organizations. Success is then a logical consequence. It requires a different perspective to be able to see very clearly how that can work. In our case, that is the Japanese martial and peace art aikido, ’the way of harmony’.
Business aikido is an applied aikido approach, intended for people who do not practice martial art, so that they too can discover the powerful principles of this art. Characteristic are the special exercises where you can experience the difference between how we are often unconsciously out of balance and how it feels to be consciously in balance. That is the starting point. You learn how you can make a huge difference with small adjustments in attitude and behavior. Both fundamental and practical.
Here a short impression of 1:52 minutes. Develop with experience. Our customers appreciate our interactive approach. Moving together and discovering how you can achieve a huge difference with small adjustments to your posture and behavior. Of course we pay attention to the translation into everyone’s own (organizational) practice.
Our approach reflects the following core values:
- Equality: people among each other, seeing each other roll over and positions
- Involved: real attention for everyone who participates or has participated
- Professional: delivering quality, tangible for our customers
- Surprising: discovering unexpected talents and qualities, about yourself and about each other
- Practical: recognizable and immediately applicable, direct results
- Fun: learning is much more effective in an atmosphere of lightness and humor
In everything we focus on the growth and success experiences of our participants.
Pride! The writing debut of Peter Hoogeveen, “business aikido”, received an honorable shortlist nomination for Management Book of the year 2019, making it one of the 5 best management books of the past year, according to the professional jury.
In this book he has elaborated 8 powerful aikido principles into practical value for companies and organizations. Illustrated with recognizable practical examples, special exercises to experience the principles yourself and many practical tips. He also likes this approach to current topics such as ‘self-organization’, ‘agility’, ‘coping with stress’, ‘coping with change’, ‘effective collaboration’ and of course ‘leadership’. A must read! Unfortunately Business aikido is available in Dutch only (for now).
